1. What is the CGU Privilege Card?

The CGU Privilege Card is a customer benefits program designed to provide our customers with discounts and savings across a wide range of products and services. You are entitled to CGU Privilege Card when you insure with us.

CGU Privilege Card also provides membership to Presidential Card Shopping free of charge. These two great programs offer discounts and savings on thousands of lifestyle benefits as well as many other goods and services. Simply log in and start browsing the benefits available to you today.


2. How do I log in to CGU Privilege Card?

Logging in is easy.

  • Your user name is your CGU policy number, which is located on the front of your CGU Privilege Card.
  • The first character of your CGU policy number will be numerical i.e. 0.
  • Your initial password is welcome (You can change this when you first log on.)
  • For security reasons you will also need to provide your email address

Once you have logged in you can access the great range of products available to you.

4. How does the CGU Privilege Card work?

The CGU Privilege Card provides you with access to Two great programs: Presidential Card and Presidential Card Shopping.

  • Presidential Card is Australia's longest running lifestyle benefits program (established in 1980) providing over 11,000 individual offers Australia wide at more than 4,000 locations to over 1 million members. Savings include up to 45% discount on pre-purchased cinema tickets, 15% off theme park tickets, and 5% discount on Woolworths Wish Gift Cards purchased from the website, and many more!
  • Presidential Card Shopping is one of Australia's leading web based shopping service which offers "Great Brands, Great Range and Great Prices" on thousands of household items. Savings include discounts on appliances, whitegoods, electronics, DVDs, and movie tickets. Once logged in go to the Online Shop to access the great range of products available to you.

5. How do I claim my benefits and discounts?

The available discounts and benefits are shown on the website. By using the “Search for Offers” panel, you can find discounts and benefits on an extensive range of goods and services. You may also receive information regarding offers occasionally via email. You can claim your discounts or benefits by simply:

  • Logging on to the CGU Privilege Card site and buying online
  • Showing your CGU Privilege Card (Show and Save)
(Remember the program is powered by Presidential Card, this is shown on the back of your membership card)


6. What kind of discounts can I expect from the CGU Privilege Card?

The CGU Privilege Card gives you access to over 11,000 lifestyle benefits and savings through Presidential Card and discounts on thousands household items through Presidential Card Shopping. The discounts and savings available through Presidential Card and Presidential Card Shopping vary depending on the product or the participating establishment. All benefits offered through the CGU Privilege card are guaranteed by Presidential Card.


7. What happens if I lose my card?

To arrange a replacement card, simply email your name, address and CGU policy number to the Presidential Card Customer Care Team at info@presidentialcard.com.au and a replacement card will be sent to you at no extra cost.

8. Who do I speak to if I am having difficulty with using my card? (e.g. I did not receive the discounts advertised on the website)

The CGU Privilege Card program benefits are guaranteed by Presidential Card, so you can be confident that whenever you use your card you will save.

In the unlikely event that an establishment does not honour the benefit as shown on this website, simply send in a copy of your bill or receipt to Presidential Card. Presidential Card will issue a cheque or deposit the amount into your nominated bank account. If you are unable to provide an itemised receipt, the Presidential Card will reimburse you to the amount specified by the validation, up to a maximum of $15.00.

9. I have received two CGU Privilege Cards. Can I use both?

You will receive a separate CGU Privilege Card for each qualifying CGU insurance policy you hold. All CGU Privilege Cards sent to you are valid and can be shared with other members of your household so that they can access the benefits and savings too. Your CGU Privilege Card will remain active as long as you hold your policy with CGU Insurance.


10. What is Show and Save?

Our Privilege Card program is powered by Presidential Card. To claim benefits using Show and Save, you must show the Presidential Card logo. This is located on the back of your Privilege Card.
